Students attended workshop which focused on "Soft Skills" sponsored by Alabama Power Company, Hyundai, UAB, and JAG (Job's for Alabama Graduates). Today's employers have no problem finding employees with the education required the REAL problem is finding employees with the soft skills reqired to get and keep a job. Soft skills include showing up to work on time, teamwork, collaboration, a good work ethic and more. Talladega County Schools through the 21st Century Initiative had made the focus of soft skills an integral part of todays education.

Winterboro Business and Marketing Academy students benefited from 8 sessions of the Blue Sky program. Speakers visited our campus for 8 consecutive weeks and enlightened students on everything you need to know to Get, Keep, and Excel in the World of Work. The conclusion to the program was a sit down awards meal at BlueCross BlueShield headquarters in Birmingham, AL. All those who participated and attended the luncheon received awards and gifts. The girls received Pearls and the guys a Tie!

WHS career tech students participated in a group activitiy with Tina Runyan concerning decision making and problem solving. Students learned that sometimes we don't get to make decisions alone and sometimes we make them as a group. Students had to design a the tallest free standing tower made of toothpicks and marshmellows. FBLA students have exceeded their annual MARCH OF DIMES fundraising goal in the first 28 day's of the school year. You may have seen the WHS FBLA at O'Reilly's Saturday, September 8th, where they raised $270.00 and then I believe the caption below show's how the remainder of the funds were raised.

Enterprise High School will soon receive a check and words of encouragement from the Bulldog FBLA. More on NBC 13's visit to WHS Excitement at Winterboro High School! Around 11:30 this morning Jamel Major and crew visited Winterboro School to interview FBLA members about their on-going tornado fund-raising efforts. The club began planning their effort on Friday after hearing of the devastation that occurred in Enterprise Alabama on Thursday afternoon. Devastation that could have occurred at any high school in Alabama that day. The club has currently raised $330.00 and will continue accepting donations through the end of the week. The winning homeroom will win a Pizza Party sponsored by the FBLA. NBC 13 spent about an hour interviewing students and Mrs. Ozment. FBLA students have exceeded their annual MARCH OF DIMES fundraising goal in the first 28 day's of the school year. You may have seen the WHS FBLA at O'Reilly's Saturday, September 8th, where they raised $270.00 and then I believe the caption below show's how the remainder of the funds were raised.Congratulations on raising $1,000.00!!!

Excitement at Winterboro High School! Around 11:30 this morning Jamel Major and crew visited Winterboro School to interview FBLA members about their on-going tornado fund-raising efforts. The club began planning their effort on Friday after hearing of the devastation that occurred in Enterprise Alabama on Thursday afternoon. Devastation that could have occurred at any high school in Alabama that day. The club has currently raised $330.00 and will continue accepting donations through the end of the week. The winning homeroom will win a Pizza Party sponsored by the FBLA. NBC 13 spent about an hour interviewing students and Mrs. Ozment.
